I'll tell you one thing, belly fat makes it very hard to do some of these yoga moves.
I am blogging about two days here because I wasn't able to get on yesterday.
Like everything in this program, this isn't just your run of the mill yoga work out. It seems like they just went to extreme and found all the hardest moves to put into this program. The other tough thing about it is it lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. I never realized (probably because I never did it before) that yoga can make me sweat so much. I was dripping sweat the first 20 minutes into it.
Once I was finished, it felt really good to have done it. I know it will be an integral part of the workout program, as Tony says.
Legs and back, followed by ab ripper x, was this morning. Have you ever done wall squats? Ouch.... Have you ever done one leg wall squats? Double ouch! This exercise worked hard on the legs and back. I suppose the only way to work your back muscles is to do pull-ups.
I suck at pull-ups. Most everything else I do, with exception to pull-ups and ab ripper, I feel like I do well. In this particular exercise, you do four types of pull-ups two times throughout. I used a chair (under one foot) and my max was seven. Yep, I admit it, I have no back muscles. Well, I'm sure after 90 days I will be able to do seven pull-ups without the chair!
Ab ripper X follows Shoulders & Arms and Legs & Back each week. I remember the first time I did ab ripper. I felt like I was going to die and I wanted to stop and give up during each move. I quickly realized I need to do as much as I can and the muscles will come. Last time, when I was at seven weeks, ab ripper was still hard but not as hard as in the beginning. My goal this time with ab ripper is to complete the 'mason twist' at the end. You're sitting up, legs lifted off the floor, hands grasped with fingers intertwined. You then begin to go side to side, touching the floor with your hands each time, for a total of 50 times. I can't even make it to 20 yet. I'll keep working at it.
Tomorrow, Kenpo X (I love this one!)
